A really good week for the Club with some notable victories from our underage teams. Our Minors kick started the week with a decisive win over Stabannon/O'Connells/ Lannliere combination , this was our  minors first win of the Division 1 league and the returning injured players made a huge difference to the team. On Wednesday our U16s came out victors in a hard fought contest  against Division 1 rivals Naomh Martin while our team of the week has to be our U12s who beat  local rivals O'Raghallaighs by a goal in the gaelic grounds, Alll three teams have some fine footballers who, if continuing to progress, will play leading roles on the field for  the club in years to come. Our  U14 girls team were beaten by a Collon/ TullyAllen cominbation however they put up  a great performance. Saturday morning training continues to grow and it will not be long till we need another field to accomadate all the children attending, well done to all the mentors involved. On Sunday morning we hosted Glen Emmetts at U7 and we were able to field 2 teams such is our numbers at this age group. It was not such a good week for our Adult teams as our Juniors lost out to St Mochtas while our seniors were beaten by 2 points by Sean O'Mahoneys in the Paddy Sheelan Shield 1/4 final on Saturday night. Finally congratulations to Louth Senior footballers who put up a terrific display in giving Laois a 10 point beating in their own backyard on Sunday. Hero's were to be found everywhere and managament and players should take great credit for the work they are putting in this year. Its onwards and upwards with a 1/4 final at home to Wexford next on the agenda in 2 weeks time.
